What’s the Antichrist’s Twitter Name?
@666 is too obvious and someone has that account already. @666 has only tweeted once, they don’t follow anyone, but as of this writing 209 are following them. A browse of their followers shows some names of who you would expect to follow @666. There is @Damien_1976 with a profile picture of “The Omen,” someone else whose profile states they are a macabre enthusiast, and several interested in pornography.
@Antichrist is taken by someone named Mike Janu and with only 82 followers, 666 is a bit more popular than the Antichrist. He has 13 total tweets (imagine that) none of which are worthy of being read. His followers probably aren’t worth following and they seem to be more interested in self-marketing and attention-getting. That’s what I think.
I only bring this all up to say I believe the Antichrist does have a twitter account. He’s definitely all about being social with that charisma thing he has going. Yes, he’ll be all about twitter and Facebook. Do you wonder if you’ve friended him? In case you are wondering about a friend or two of yours, let’s look at some characteristics of the Antichrist provided by the Bible.
- Your friend may be the Antichrist if he seems to have risen from obscurity yet tends to be boastful.
As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly. Daniel 7:8
- If your friend is a “little different,” he might be the Antichrist:
Its ten horns are ten kings who will rule that empire. Then another king will arise, different from the other ten, who will subdue three of them. Daniel 7:24
- If you have a friend who isn’t very religious, he might be the Antichrist.
He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. Daniel 11:37
- Does your friend deny that Christ came in bodily form and that Jesus is the Son of God?
For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 7
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22
Does your friend have a big Twitter and Facebook following and do his followers worship him? He could be the Antichrist!
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8
Ok, we’ve had a little fun with this, but the purpose is to show how close we are. Not only is it possible, but probable that the Antichrist is alive now—yet he won’t be revealed as the Antichrist or be able to move into his place of power and authority until the church is removed from the earth.
Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:5-8
The church is salt and light and as this body comes together it will fulfill its last days’ destiny on earth. Just as Ezekiel called the bones together in his prophesy of the restoration of Israel, Paul prophesies the spiritual restoration of the church to its full authority and power for a last days great awakening:
(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:9-16
There are a lot of great Twitter and Facebook accounts to friend who are moving toward this last day’s movement of the church who are worth friending. Those are the people you definitely want to follow as friends as we move together fulfilling our mission of effectively working together to fulfill the mission of Christ—the Son of God.
