Verhofstadt and Cohn-Bendit Named European Leaders of the year 2013

After several weeks of online voting across Europe, both Guy Verhostadt, currently Member of the European Parliament, leader of the Liberals & Democrats, and former Prime Minister of Belgium, and Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Member of the European Parliament and leader of the Greens/European Free Alliance, were selected as the public’s favourite European leaders.

They were chosen for their strong commitment to the European project, their capacity to unite, to bring about positive changein Europe.  They were initially nominated among several European political leaders by a high-level jury composed of opinion-leaders from the media, academic, and civil society.   SpinelliGroup
