Unprecedented Presidential Disasters

10/27/2012 14:35

As I write this, Hurricane Sandy, now a tropical storm, is bearing down on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with a foreboding of great calamity. Fortunately, there is plenty of time for people to prepare as the weather dudes and dudettes are making accurate predictions for where it will hit. Estimates in the billions are already predicted stamping this storm with the noteworthy seal as one of the worst in history. It’s another unprecedented storm because it’s predicted to merge with two other storms to become what they are calling Frankenstorm. Although it’s being compared to Hurricane Irene (2011) for its similar path, there are so many unusual situations feeding it they are calling it the “perfect storm.” We’ve been hearing that a lot lately about storms; have you noticed? It seems each one gets more “perfect.”

Prophecy dudes like you and me who have been watching end time events are now familiar with these perfect storm events. In most cases, they seem to follow some stupid thing the President did against Israel or Jerusalem. I don’t just mean President Obama—there are some stupid moves by Republican Presidents too. We’ll look at those, but first, let’s take care of this “Judgment of God” stuff.

It’s kind of a lazy thing to say that these weather disasters, and other disasters, are judgments from the hand of God. Anyone can say that—and a lot of people do. Actually, it’s a little more technical. I’m a simple person and so I like things simple and slick and I think we can see it that way.

You know how you can load up a bunch of television programs to view later? When you do that, you are programming your viewing to view what you want to watch in the order you want. You don’t have to go in at the time a show begins to add it to your list.  You program it to load up automatically. That’s sort of what God did. He programmed this thing, but the golden list remains activated as long as we flow with that. What gets us into trouble is when we flip a switch that we shouldn’t and then a whole new set of programming is activated. We chose. He gave us the choices.

The golden program comes from the heart of a loving father who wants His children to live in His blessings. As long as we follow these simple, healthy guidelines, we enjoy the blessings of this ideal programming. It started in Genesis:

I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

God gave dominion of the earth to Adam, Adam gave his authority to Satan, but then God established an avenue through the Hebrew nation, Israel, to bring the power of blessing back into the earth. That is very simply stated.

Those who bless Israel will be blessed. Those who don’t will not be blessed, but open themselves up to the curse. God isn’t sitting on His throne with a stick watching who to hit. He has programmed blessing for those who chose to find it. Those who chose not to find it, literally step out from under the umbrella of God’s blessing. They opt out of the blessing by choice.

If you don’t like the umbrella analogy, then maybe the space suit one works better. As a result of Adam’s sin, an automatic curse fell upon the earth. God provides blessing and protection from the curse for those who wear the blessing. Those who take the blessing off subject themselves to the cursed atmosphere.

God restates the promise through the prophet Obadiah:

“For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near;
As you have done, it shall be done to you;
Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. Obadiah 1:15

Simply stated; the manner in which a nation treats Israel is how that nation will be treated by God. The nation that blesses Israel, will be blessed. The nation that choses to curse Israel, will be cursed.

Jerusalem is special.

 “Yet I have chosen Jerusalem, that my Name may be there…”  2 Chronicles 6:6

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its cunning. Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I remember thee not; if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy. Psalm 137:5-6

Like birds flying about, So will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will preserve it.” Isaiah 31:5

Let’s look at some disasters:

October 30, 1991-The Perfect Storm—As President George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid Conference in Spain to consider “land for peace” in Israel’s Middle East role, the “perfect storm” develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever recorded in that region. This unprecedented storm traveled 1000 miles from east to west instead of the normal west to east pattern crashing into the New England coast. Thirty-five foot waves crashed into the Kennebunkport home of President Bush. President Bush was advocating for the division of Jerusalem.

August 23, 1992- Hurricane Andrew—When the Madrid Conference moved to Washington DC August 23 and 24 resuming the peace talks and discussion of dividing Jerusalem , Hurricane Andrew, the worst natural disaster at that time to hit America, produced an estimated $30 billion in damage and left 180,000 homeless in Florida. It’s also noteworthy that President Bush had enjoyed a 92% approval rating, but after this his ratings bottomed out and Bill Clinton won the election leaving Bush as a one-term president.

January 16-17, 1994 - President Clinton meets with Syrian dictator Hafez el-Assad and then informs Israel it will have to make "unpopular concessions" regarding the Golan Heights. The next day, the 6.7 Nortridge Earthquake rocks California. The ground acceleration was one of the highest ever instrumentally recorded in an urban area in North America, 57 people died, and there were over 8,700 injured. The earthquake caused an estimated $20 billion in damage, making it one of the costliest natural disasters in U.S. history.

March 1, 1997 – President Clinton warmly welcomes Arafat to the White House, delivers a sharp rebuke to Israel for building on Har Homa. On the same day 16 tornadoes were spawned in Clinton’s home state of Arkansas. This was a larger than normal outbreak, and the nature of the tornadoes was unusual. More specifically, tornado damage paths are normally a few miles long...but some of these damage tracks were 50 to 75 miles in length.

January 21, 1998 - Clinton gives Prime Minister Binyanmin Netanyahu a frigid welcome and refuses to have dinner with him. A meeting between the two men is convened during which, the world's media reports, terrible pressure is brought to bear on Israel to give away more land. Immediately following that meeting, a phone call comes to the White House, informing Clinton that his relationship with Monica Lewinsky is about to be made public.

September 1998 - On the 24th, Clinton announces he will meet with Arafat and Netanyahu and do what he can to restart the stalled peace process over the issue of Israel's giving Arafat more land. On the same day, Hurricane Georges is reported to be gathering momentum en route to the American mainland. Three days later, as Albright meets with Arafat in preparation for the terror chief's session with Clinton, the "killer storm" slams into the Gulf Coast. American newspapers report Clinton's subsequent meeting with Arafat and Netanyahu alongside reports of the hurricane's rampage. By the time Arafat completes his address to the United Nations on September 28, Georges has left yet another billion dollars of destruction in the United States. Georges was the seventh tropical storm of the season becoming the fourth hurricane. It made seven landfalls upon seven different countries causing $8.56 billion in damage.

October 23, 1998 - Clinton brings Netanyahu and Arafat together at Wye River to hammer out a deal whereby Israel would surrender more land to the Palestinians. For virtually the duration of the talks, floods and hurricanes ravage nearly a quarter of the state of Texas, swallowing small villages and causing over $1 billion in damage. The storm dropped up to 22 inches of rain in some areas and spawning several tornados. Sixty Texas counties (24%) reported flooding, thirty-six counties became eligible for federal and/or state assistance as a result of damages suffered from this storm system during October 17-31.

November 24 and 30, 1998 - The stock market in the US reaches an all-time high in the week of November 23. On November 24, President Clinton inaugurates the opening of the Palestinian’s Gaza International Airport but cutting the ribbon. A week later, Arafat arrives in the US to appeal to the nations of the world to support his effort to create Palestine. Clinton hosts an international fundraiser in Washington DC for Palestine and pledges $400 million over five years to support Palestine’s efforts to achieve statehood. European nations in attendance pledge another $1.7 billion, the stock market crashes in the US and, the following day, in Europe.

December 12-15 1998 - Clinton arrives in the PA-controlled territories and address the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) in Gaza, as the House of Representatives Judiciary Committe meets to discuss his impeachment. He is reported to be the first US president to give national status to a State of Palestine. Four days later he is reported to be the first president in 130 years to be impeached.

March 22-23, 1999 - The US stock market plummets as Arafat and Clinton are meeting to talk about a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

May 4, 1999 - The day Arafat said he would declare his State of Palestine, Clinton, who asked Arafat to postpone that declaration by a few months, sends a letter to the PLO leader stating that the American position is that the Palestinians should be free to "determine their own future on their own land." On the same day, 66 tornadoes of unprecedented size and fury churn their way through Oklahoma and Kansas - destroying over 2000 homes in Oklahoma City alone, wiping at least one town right off the map, and killing nearly 50 people and causing $1.1 billion in damage, up until this time, the most costly in history. President Clinton signed a federal disaster declaration for 11 Oklahoma counties.

September 13, 1999 - A meeting scheduled by Secretary of State Albright gets underway between Israel and the Palestinians, at which the surrender of more land to Arafat is to be worked out. On the same day, Hurricane Floyd descends on the American East Coast, leading to the third largest population evacuation in US history. The monster storm ravages North Carolina - destroying the entire eastern sector of the state. It was among the largest Atlantic hurricanes of its strength ever recorded.

October 13, 1999 - Surrendering to Clinton's dictate, Israel spends the week of October 11 evicting settlers from hilltops in Judea and Samaria. Back in the US during the same week, the Dow Jones Index sees its biggest loss since 1989. On October 15, Hurricane Irene (1999) ploughs into North Carolina causing $800 million in damage and unseen urban flooding since 1981’s Hurricane Dennis. The following day the 7.1 Hector Mine Earthquake just east of Barstow, California struck. Up until this time, it was the fifth most powerful earthquake to strike the United States.

January 2000 - Clinton meets with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara on January 3 and 4 respectively in ShepherdsTown, West Virginia to discuss Israel's surrender of the Golan Heights to Syria. On January 4, Barak agrees to hand another five percent of Israel's land to the Palestinians by the end of that week in accordance with agreements brokered by Clinton. Three days before the meeting, the US stock exchange reached its all-time high. On January 4 both the Dow and NASDAQ plummeted, the latter in its worst drop ever. The combined losses on that single day equaled $600 billion.

April 2000 - On April 11, President Clinton meets with Prime Minister Barak in Washington to discuss ways to move the peace process forward. The same week the NASDAQ experiences the worst collapse in its history losing 78.4% over the period of the collapse.

June 2000 - On June 16, Clinton meets with Arafat at the White House to, "Finish the job." Arafat makes his intention to declare the state of Palestine on September 13, 2000. On the same day the Dow Jones Index collapses an hour before close of trading, ending on its lowest closing in months.

July-August 2000 - Clinton takes Barak and Arafat to Camp David in an effort to secure final status agreements. The talks stall on July 26 over the question of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and tensions are reported to be very high. While the talks are underway, huge forest fires break out in the western United States that are to rage right through August, devouring 17 million acres of forest and rendering two states disaster areas from what were called the worst fires of the century. Dry conditions led to one of the most destructive forest fire seasons in U.S. history. About 7.2 million acres burned nationwide, nearly double the 10-year average. States hardest hit included Alaska, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, and Oregon.  According to NOAA's Climate Information Project, as of the end of August 74,571 fires had burned 6.6 million acres across the U.S. On a national scale, by the end of August over a third (35%) of the contiguous U.S. was experiencing severe to extreme drought as measured by the Palmer Drought Index. This is a rapid increase over the last three months, nearly doubling from about 20% at the end of June

September-December 2000 - As Arafat launches his Oslo War, using Ariel Sharon's Feast of Trumpets visit to the Temple Mount as a pretext, both Israel's and America's political situations spiral into chaos - with Barak's resignation triggering new prime ministerial elections and the American elections turning into a fiasco that would take weeks to resolve. On November 9, Arafat visited Clinton in Washington as the American presidency was dissolving into its worst crisis in over a century. The newspaper headlines on November 9 reported on Arafat's visit and the presidential crisis.

June 2001 - On June 6, President George W. Bush sends CIA director George Tenet to Israel to broker a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians and implement the Mitchell Report. Two days later, while Tenet is hosting talks between Israeli and Palestinian officials, and US assistant secretary of state William Burns is meeting with Arafat, Bush heads out to his Texas ranch for a break. On that very day, Allison, the worst tropical storm in the history of the United States, unleashes its fury on the president's state, The storm dropped heavy rainfall along its path, peaking at over 40 inches in Texas. The worst flooding occurred in Houston, where most of Allison's damage occurred: 30,000 became homeless after the storm flooded over 70,000 houses and destroyed 2,744 homes. Downtown Houston was inundated with flooding, causing severe damage to hospitals and businesses. Allison caused $5.5 billion in damage. Aside from Texas, the places worst hit were Louisiana and southeastern Pennsylvania for the duration of Tennent’s Mideast visit. Following the storm, President George W. Bush designated 75 counties along Allison's path as disaster areas

October 2, 2001 - President Bush said he had a vision for peace in the Middle East that includes a Palestinian state set up on the biblical heartland of Israel. It was the first time an American president had outlined as policy the creation of a Palestinian state. On the same day, the first anthrax case in 25 years broke out. The cases increased and ended up costing the U.S. government billions of dollars along with the destabilization of government offices for a few months.

November 2001 - On November 10, President Bush tells the United Nations General Assembly: "We're working toward a day when two states - Israel and Palestine - live peacefully together..." In the same month, US energy giant Enron reports a $638 million loss and a $1.2 billion reduction in shareholder equity. It announces an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. On December 2, Enron files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announces more than 4000 layoffs - the biggest corporate fraud scandal to ever hit the United States.

June 24-25, 2002 - President Bush delivers his much anticipated policy speech on the Middle East which, while recognizing the more fundamental flaws on the Palestinian Arab side, once again affirms the president's belief that a Palestinian state must be created on the heartland of Israel. On June 25, in the second corporate bombshell to hit the United States in the last six months, the US telecom giant WorldCom teeters on the brink of bankruptcy after disclosing it disguised nearly $4 billion of expenses as capital expenditures to appear more profitable. On July 2, President Bush's home state of Texas suffers severe flooding, with losses from the disaster expected to reach $1 billion. Nine people have so far been reported killed, over 48,000 homes have been affected and 24 counties in the state are declared disaster areas.

May 3-4, 2003- On Saturday, May 3, U.S. Secretary of State Colin told Syrian President Bashar Assad that the U.S. commitment to Middle East peace "would include Syria and Lebanon, and would include the Golan Heights," particularly sensitive issue for Syria.  On Sunday, May 4, it was reported that Secretary Powell is expected to visit Israel on Saturday for talks about implementing the Road Map peace plan, an Israeli Foreign Ministry official said.  Also on Sunday a deadly swarm of tornadoes ripped through eastern Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee, killing at least 38 people and doing extensive damage to homes and buildings. It was "the most devastating series of tornadoes we've ever had in the state of Missouri," Gov. Bob Holden said after walking the rubble-strewn streets of Pierce City, where eight of the missing were from.

Sept 21, 2004-Bush speech at UN said, “Israel should impose a settlement freeze, dismantle unauthorized outposts, end the daily humiliation of the Palestinian people, and avoid any actions that prejudice final negotiations.” Same day Hurricane Jeanne hits Florida, on Yom Kippur. It was the seventh and deadliest of the season causing $6.8 million in damage.

August 17-22, 2005- President George Bush supported Israeli Prime Minister Sharon’s plan to withdraw Israeli’s from Gaza as a step to fulfilling the Quartet’s Roadmap to Peace. The process was one of the most chaotic events in modern Jewish history. Nearly 9,000 Israelis were forcibly ripped from their homes and their farms. Women and children were man-handled, synagogues violated, Torah scrolls desecrated, houses bulldozed, graves dug up, and farms destroyed. The economic impact on Israel was overwhelming. The very next morning on August 22, a tropical depression formed which would become Hurricane Katrina.  It quickly developed into the most powerful hurricane in modern history, slamming into New Orleans on August the 27th. It disrupted 25% of crude oil production, and destroyed the largest port in this nation and the fifth largest in the world.

November 27, 2007- Annapolis Conference where the two-state solution was first articulated and agreed upon.  America’s economic downturn began after this conference.

May 19 and 22, 2011- President Obama gave speeches outlining the administration’s for Israel to pull back to its pre-1967 borders which would leave Israel defenseless and it would divide Jerusalem. Seven hours after that speech, Joplin, Missouri was struck by an F5 tornado that tore a path through the middle of the city—dividing it.

August 17, 2011- President Barak Obama demands Israel apologize to Turkey for the flotilla mishap.  Hurricane Irene slams the eastern seaboard of the United States days later as the fifth costliest storm.

September 11, 2012- President Obama told Israel that it was on its own in fighting Iran and the United States would not be there for them. He also refused to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu in an act of humiliation. On September 11, Muslim terrorists attacked the UN Embassy in Egypt and the consulate in Libya killing the ambassador to Libya. They destroyed the US compound in Egypt, tore down the American flag and replaced it with the Muslim Brotherhood flag. Moody’s also threatened to downgrade the US credit rating.

It seems that whenever there is a hurricane, all one has to do is to see what is happening with Israel at the time to determine if the United States committed an Obadiah 1:15.

If we go back to the beginning of this list with the Madrid Conference, toss in Obadiah 1:15 along with the fact that the Two State Solution supports a divided Jerusalem, could it be possible that if the United States works to divide Jerusalem that Obadiah 1:15 will be fulfilled in an earthquake that splits the United Sates literally in two with the New Madrid fault? That would take Madrid from the beginning to the end of the division process.  John Kilpatrick had a dream about that.

I’m not predicting anything. Watch for the signs.  I just know that the United States fails to appear in any meaningful way in Biblical end time prophecies.
