Soldier And Wife, Ruben And Amber Fox, Arrested For Having Sex With Dogs

Fort Bragg soldier Ruben Fox and his wife, Amber, were arrested for having sex with dogs and posting videos of the acts as pornography online. The North Carolina couple has been charged with bestiality, disseminating obscene materials, and conspiracy.

"Please everyone keep [Ruben] and I in youuur prayers," Amber wrote on her Facebook page Sunday. "I cannot and will not say what's up so please don't ask. But please just pray for us. Thank you and love you all."

Ruben and Amber, both 23 years old, allegedly made videos in their home where they engaged in sex acts with their dogs. After being tipped off by the Humane Society, police investigated the two and made a calculated arrest. The couple had two mixed-breed dogs and three cats, which were removed by authorities and placed in a shelter. Police also seized computer equipment from their home.

"Anything you can ever imagine a man and a woman doing to each other, she was having the dogs do," Raeford Police Chief Franklin Crumpler told the Huffington Post on Tuesday.

The couple is charged with, among other things, bestiality. Bestiality, also known as zoophilia, occurs when a person’s sexual arousal and orgasm are facilitated by engaging in sex with animals. According to Sex Info Online, people who engage in bestiality usually do so because they have issues forming relationships with humans. It is categorized as a paraphilia (sexual disorder) and can therefore be treated by cognitive therapy, aversion therapy, and even drug regimens.

A fetish, on the other hand, is an extremely strong devotion or obsessive interest in something. Sexual fetishes can be differentiated from sexual disorders because disorders are conditions over which people have little control. While a fetish is an increased desire, it does not necessarily have to inhibit one’s ability to know right from wrong.

So is it okay to punish people for bestiality if it is, indeed, a sexual disorder?

That’s hard to say. While bestiality is both a criminal offense and sexual disorder, who’s to say it can’t also be a fetish? Maybe the couple was just into having sex with dogs… and having other people watch it.

Whatever the case may be, the couple is facing some pretty serious charges and being held on $15,000 bail each.  MedicalDaily
