Sink holes caving in more and more

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Sink holes seem to be caving in more frequently and the most recent plunge happened in Genesse County.

James Pontillo sent this picture of a sink hole to The Batavian that opened up at his property at 15 Oak Street in Batavia.

He said he fell in the five foot hole that happened to be right where he was standing.

City DPW blocked off the opening overnight so no one else fell in or got injured. The Batavian reports it may be an old city sewer line. WIVB
