Samara Almost Regularly Seeing Vehicles Being Swallowed By Earth

In Samara, the Russian city, the sinkholes are occurring frequently now. They seem as if it is a scene from a Hollywood disaster movie, but are real.

It has been revealed that the swallow holes are so large that these even can swallow whole Lorries. Roads in Samara have seen sinkholes opening in them.

It is being said that your vehicle may disappear anytime if you are a resident of Samara. Residents have already been highly concerned due to these disasters. And now, they have been suspecting when the same new trend would come to an end.

The sixth-largest city of Russia, which is located on Volga's banks 500 miles southeast of Moscow, has also reported that residents are feared since the natural phenomena's spate was eating their cars, trucks and buses.

The disaster is explained by the pictures from Samara document. Since, the sinkholes do not even give any warnings before they appear and swallow people and things.

Experts say that these sink holes are probably seen as a result of weakening of the ground under the roads and buildings. The weakening may due to an influx of water or it could be erosion over time with limestone-like rock types.  FrenchTribune
