Resisting the Beast’s Identification

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11

So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Revelation 16:2

It’s difficult to imagine any compelling reason for taking the mark of the beast when the Bible clearly describes the penalty and harm for doing so. If a person knows anything about the Bible, they know the mark is evil and worth avoiding. So, what is it that bridges a position of aversion to acceptance?

We know that access to the economy will be via the mark.

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:16-18

We know that failure to accept the mark will mark the dissenter for death.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Revelation 20:4

It’s clear from the aforementioned scripture passages, acts that commit a person to the Antichrist include not only taking his mark, but also worshiping him and his image. This opposing imitation is a triad process towards damnation for those who enter the tribulation period.

Although technology has bridged the gap for the ability to mark humanity, without the official decree of the Antichrist inaugurating the eternal branding and the branded’s covenanting themselves to the Antichrist and his image through worship, the actual “mark” won’t happen. Credit cards with three sixes on them, hand scans, eye scans, RFID chipping—all are harmless until the decree midway through the tribulation.

But advances in technology place the ability to brand humanity here and now, and the time for the marking must be ever so close.

The mark has to be about more than just providing a means to make purchases. It has to be about identity.

The Christian’s identity, hidden in Christ, is sealed by the Holy Spirit.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13

The Mark of the Beast is the anti-seal. It is an identification that serves deeper duties than making purchases. Perhaps, as other prophecy teachers have suggested, the mark manipulates the DNA, sealing branded humanity to damnation.

Satanic DNA manipulation of humanity goes back a long way.

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. The Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:4-8

Jesus said the last days would be characterized by a repeat of DNA manipulation.

For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. Mathew 24:37

If the technology for this isn’t yet here, it’s soon to arrive. No doubt about it.

The end times began with the crucifixion of Christ. Technological advances now clearly disclose we are more towards the end of the end times. Technology is a sign proving that.

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase. Daniel 12:4
