Pope tells Synod, 'Lukewarmness discredits Christianity'

(AGI) Vatican - Benedict XVI opened the first session of the Synod, saying "The Christian is not to be lukewarm. This is the most serious danger for Christianity today. Lukewarmness discredits Christianity." With these words Benedict XVI opened the Synod that brings 262 bishops from around the world to Rome to address the issue of the New Evangelisation. "Fire is light, heat, power of transformation.
