Obscene Sex Ed Exposed in the United Kingdom

The Christian Institute [1] (Newcastle, United Kingdom or U.K.) released a shocking report titled, “Too Much, Too Young.” (Link to report not included – shows profanely lewd, perverse and pornographic content being taught to U.K. children under the cloak of sex “education.”) Cartoon sexual positions, pornography and cyber-sex imagery are complemented by prurient text and materials, attempting to normalize distorted sexuality.

Some European policymakers (MP’s) are responding in “horror” [2] after The Christian Institute exposed “shocking” sex education plans and materials for children as young as five.

Condom-based, explicit anything-goes, “safe” sex has failed the U.K dramatically; ironically, lawmakers plan to double efforts to further promote these failed programs, hoping more bad will eventually yield good. Hmm, this almost sounds like the United States.

In the world of public policy, however, doubling explicit, failed programs and making them mandatory will only yield more negative results. Has common sense failed to operate in U.K. lawmakers? Or are lawmakers simply caving to the pressures of “anything-goes-sex” groups like International Planned Parenthood Federation and their ilk?

U.K. policymakers have known the explicit, condom-based, comprehensive “safe” sex approach doesn’t work for nearly half a decade. Why continue?

In 2008, The Council of Health and Wholeness conducted a review of Sex and Relationship Education [3] programs. Their conclusion? Comprehensive sex education  (condom-based, “safe” sex model) had failed in the U.K.

They recommended a new approach based on:

a)      Challenging the ideological basis of the current approach to sexual health.

b)      Encouraging behavioral modification, bearing in mind the lessons from successful examples of Uganda’s fight against HIV or anti-smoking campaigns.

c)      Promoting sexual abstinence, ideally until marriage.

d)      Teaching marriage as the ideal basis for family.

This approach teaches the highest and healthiest standards. And it makes sense, because more of a bad thing has never made anything good.
