President Obama says he gave Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a stern talking to during a recent phone call — chastising him for his tough stance on the creation of a Palestinian state.

“It is going to be hard to find a path where people are seriously believing that negotiations are possible,” Obama revealed he scolded Netanyahu in a Thursday phone call, according to the Huffington Post.

In his first comments on the re-elected Netanyahu since the election, Obama told the Web site that he also criticized the prime minister for drumming up voter fear that Arab Israelis were voting “in droves.”

“We indicated that that kind of rhetoric was contrary to what is the best of Israel’s traditions,” he said.

Obama also told the site that he did not think Netanyahu’s victory would affect talks over Iran’s nuclear program. NYPost
