Netanyahu and Glenn Beck blurred the lines between Christians and Jews
Israel National News: Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Glenn Beck addressed the annual Christians United for Israel conference this week and blurred the political and national -but not, of course, the religious - lines between Christians and Jews, whom they said are one and the same against common enemies.
Netanyahu, speaking by live video, told the session, "Our enemies think that we are you, and that you are us. And you know something? They are absolutely right."
Beck went one step further. After decrying persecution of Jews and whipping the audience into an emotional high, he stated, "When we see Israelis not as part of us, but as us, we can move to the next level as human beings. Let us declare 'I am a Jew;’ they cannot kill all of us.”
Beck is planning a mass “Resorting Courage” rally in Jerusalem next month, and evangelist pastor John Hagee told the Christina conference he will join the popular television and website personality.
“We gathered here with one message: Israel today, Israel tomorrow, and Israel forever.” he told the crowd. Hagee did not spare President Barack Obama from his criticism, saying that he “is no friend of Israel”.
Hagee also took a Jewish line of thought, referring to the behavioral norms between man and his fellow man, declaring, “There are two ways to live your life – the Torah way and the wrong way."
Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, thanked the Christian Zionists for “carrying out this vision” of helping the Jewish people in their homeland shared by British military officer Orde Wingate, who trained Jewish fighting units before the re-establishment of Israel as a Jewish state in 1948.
