Michigan man faces bestiality charges after acts with family dog

ALPENA, Mich. (UpNorthLive.com) — An Alpena man is facing sodomy and bestiality charges.

The Michigan State Police arrested the 68-year-old this week following an investigation that began earlier this month.

Officials say the suspect had sexually assaulted the family dog on at least two occasions.

The suspect is out on bond. His name will be released once he is formally charged, which is scheduled for June 11.

If convicted, the suspect could face up to 15 years in prison. He could also be placed on the Sex Offender Registry.
