Marked

When you stop to think about it, there is a lot of “marking” going on in the Bible. Honestly, for as mysterious as we might want to think God is, He really has some strong demarcation characteristics. He likes clear separation and clarity. Think about it, tares and wheat, sheep and goats, hot and cold (He hates lukewarm), light and darkness, fear and faith, life and death, well you can take this list on for a long time. OK, if God is so clear like you say, Mr. Prophecy Dude, then why does He talk about mysteries and things being hidden? That’s a good point. Jesus said in Luke 10:21:

O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.

Here is the answer: He hid it from them and hid it for us who are believers. Think about that difference. He hid truths about the kingdom for us to find. It’s there waiting for us, and it’s His pleasure to reveal truth to us (1 Corinthians 2:10).

The point is, God looks at things clearly and doesn’t like his green beans touching his corn on His plate. He likes things separated. Look at some other things in this short list showing his desire for marking and separation:

  • Mark of Cain, Genesis 4:10–15
  • Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours, Deuteronomy 11:24
  • “Walk through the streets of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of all who weep and sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their city.” Ezekiel 9:4
  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13
  • Mark of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, Revelation 7:4
  • Mark of the Beast, Revelation 13:17–18

And there is still another amazing mark—the mark of the priestly tribe. In these last days, the Third Temple will be built and the priestly tribe and sacrifices will be restored. The lineage of priests from Aaron has not been lost but God has them marked with a special DNA marker and Israel is in the process of identifying them. Read more about it by clicking here or going to www.prophecydude.org and doing a search for DNA.

If you think we aren’t approaching the last days, think again. Do you know Jesus as your personal savior—the Messiah? If not, you need to get His mark on you.
