Luke Pruitt was arrested after being accused of bestiality and child exploitation.A 21-year-old Fishers man accused of bestiality also was coercing his 4-month-old daughter’s mother to engage in a sexual act with him and the infant, Lt. Cameron Ellison of the Fishers Police Department told the Indianapolis Star.

Luke Pruitt was arrested last week after police found sexually explicit photos in his computer. An investigation began after a family member tipped the Hamilton County Metro Child Exploitation Task Force that Pruitt was committing suspicious acts through his computer. Police found images of him engaged in a sexual act with a dog, Ellison said.

During the investigation, police also found that Pruitt had sent multiple text messages to his daughter’s mother, Ellison said.

“He was trying to coerce the mother of the child to bring the baby into the bedroom, initially to observe and then later to participate (in a sexual act),” Ellison said.

The infant’s mother did not agree to do so, Ellison said.

Pruitt was charged with one count of bestiality, as well as six counts of child exploitation after police found that he also was in possession of child pornography. He is not facing any criminal charges involving his daughter, though that remains under investigation.

Ellison said Pruitt also admitted to police that he was sexually attracted to his daughter, though there was no indication that there had been any physical contact.

Pruitt and the infant’s mother are not married.

He is scheduled for a pretrial conference in August and a jury trial in October. He has since bonded out of Hamilton County Jail. IndyStar
