Iranian Support for Unrest is Official

Spokesman Kazem Jalali of the Iranian parliament officially announced, on Sunday, the Tehran government's support for the massive anti-government protests in Tunisia and Egypt which, in his words, surprised the dictatorial administrations there, according to the state-run Pars news agency.

Jalali said the United States presented three positions on Egypt and does not understand developments in the Middle East. He said the time had come to trust Islam and overcome what he called the puppet governments, adding that the demonstrations would spread to other countries.
