From Israel Insider

Among the dozen or so rockets, missiles and mortar shells that Palestinians fired into Israel were phosphorus sells banned by international law because of their highly incendiary capability. Burning phosphorus is difficult to extinguish and if it splashes onto human skin it has horrific effects. No Israelis were injured in the heaviest days of Gaza terrorist bombardment since March 2009. Despite the attacks, Israel responded only with a muted air strike on a smuggling tunnel, killing one and wounding four.
