Day of Intercession Planned for Rose Bowl Gathering

As Christians all over the world take part in the Global Day of Prayer this Sunday, a group of believers in California and Mexico are using the entire weekend to intercede for a gathering planned at the Rose Bowl on November 11.

Last month, Charisma reported on a number of churches in southern California that have gone out in faith and rented Pasadena’s famous Rose Bowl for an event they’re calling “A Line in the Sand.” Organizers describe it as a Holy Ghost prayer meeting and expect up to 70,000 to pack the historic stadium.

In preparation for the 11/11/11 gathering, believers will come together at various locations across the state this weekend for two days of intercessory worship. The meetings will conclude Sunday night in Pasadena where local observances of the Global Day of Prayer will be held.

This weekend’s intercessory prayer movement is also expected to garner plenty of attention in Mexico where nearly every state will have what’s being billed as a “march of glory.”

Organizers of the marches say they intend to humble themselves before God and pray for His mercy in their country.
