Canadian charged with sex assault, bestiality

OTTAWA — Police have charged a 70-year-old Augusta Township man with sexually assaulting three youths over a 40-year period and having sex with an animal.

Ontario Provincial Police said the assaults against the three youths — both boys and girls — occurred between 1973 and July 2013.

Police said they began an investigation after one of the victims came forward.

Frank Douglas Mundy is charged with several counts each of attempted rape, gross indecency, sexual assault, criminal harassment and indecent assault.

Mundy was also charged with one count each of bestiality and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Mundy was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon for a bail hearing.
