Another End Time Sign: Judges and Court Systems

Another sign of the end times is the change in culture that is promulgated by the legal system. There are basically two ideologies for how the judicial system should operate. One postulates that judges should judge on the basis for the intent and purpose of the constitution and the other says that judges have the responsibility to interpret the changing culture and bring the laws along in accordance with that change. I know that is very simply stated and the very subject is usually debated with pages and pages of documents. There is much tension involved in this and the debate is heated. For Christians, a stricter interpretation of the law and constitution is Biblically based because we see it as protecting a stricter moral code. We see culture changes that move away from Bible teaching as wrong. Let’s take a look at what is happening:

Most of these examples are related to homosexuality. There is a study that states that only 3.5% of the US population is gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender, but you would think half the population was for all the effort to force a cultural change towards full-scale acceptance of homosexuality. Notice also, this cultural change is not limited to the United States—it’s happening all over the world. Could this be the antichrist spirit of which the Bible spoke that is moving? The Antichrist himself may even be homosexual.

If the examples above are not convincing enough that some judges and court systems have an anti-Christian or anti-moral vendetta on society, look at these:

Prophecy Dude wonders how this judge will judge irrelevantly:  Woman becomes first US transgender trial judge

We know the Bible says these things will happen:

  • 2 Timothy 3:1-5 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
  • In Romans 18:1-32 Paul says without God and without moral standards, mankind naturally degenerates. “Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.”
  • Isaiah 5:20 What sorrow for those who say
  •       that evil is good and good is evil,
  •    that dark is light and light is dark,
  •       that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.
  • Isaiah 10 also describes God’s attitude toward unjust judges

Here’s the sad thing about a lot of end times teaching—most Christians just fold their arms and say, “Que sera, sera.” They just don’t do anything about it. That’s almost like agreeing with the cultural change. Doing nothing is akin to acceptance. Aren’t we supposed to be light to the dark world? Aren’t we supposed to be salt—the preservative for the world? Do you know what happens to salt when it loses its salty flavor? Read what Jesus said about it in Matthew 5:13. I’m not wanting that to happen to me.

So what can we do? Look, Jesus said to pray for the kingdom of God to come on earth. He has given us authority on this earth to affect change for the kingdom. We need to push closer to Him, begin to learn and move into operating in the supernatural gifts, bush back darkness as the creatures of light we are, and make a difference. The tribulation will come, the Antichrist will rise, but when I face Jesus, I want to be able to say that I did something with the talents, the responsibility, the assignment, he gave for me to do.

“The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Matthew 25:23.

Iowa voters spoke up and made a difference: Iowa Voters in US Kick Out Gay “Marriage” Justices and a lot of prayer preceded this action. We can and should make a difference--a Kingdom difference.

Are you going to be faithful to the mission?
