3 indicted in Chandler bestiality case

Three people have been indicted in an Arizona bestiality case, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Christopher Jackson (Maricopa County Sheriff's Office)A third person was arrested on Sept. 18 in connection with the crime. Mary Kanitz, 48, was taken into custody at a Phoenix plastic surgeon's office where she works.

Sheriff's investigators said they identified her as the second woman seen in a videotape engaging in sex with a dog.
The other two suspects, Josephine Erikson, 61, and Christopher Jackson, 47, of Chandler, were previously arrested on the same charges.

Jackson, already in jail on suspicion of burning his initials onto the private parts of at least one woman marking her as "his property," was arrested again on bestiality charges, Arizona authorities said.
Jackson, who owns two east Valley businesses - a ballroom dance studio and a landscape company - was booked on Sept. 3 on charges of aggravated assault after Maricopa County sheriff's deputies accused him of using a branding iron and butane in the commission of the act.Mary Kanitz (Maricopa County Sheriff's Office)

During a separate bestiality investigatiJosephine Erikson (Maricopa County Sheriff's Office)on, sheriff's detectives said they discovered DVDs during a search of Jackson's home Monday that show Jackson and two different women performing sex acts with his pet dog - a male German shepherd, MCSO said.
MCSO said Erikson, the other woman seen in the video, is a district supervisor at a Valley insurance company.

Arpaio was briefed about the details of both investigations and called what was seen in those videos appalling.

The dog was removed from the home and is being cared for at the sheriff's MASH unit in the First Avenue Jail  KPHO
